Since 2008, AIG Netherlands has been active in the Dutch real estate market and currently operates 24 locations across the country. At present, 99 office spaces are available for rent — and this represents only a fraction of the goals set for the coming years. Office rental is just one of the four revenue models AIG Netherlands employs.
AIG Netherlands enables entrepreneurs to rent fully furnished offices for short periods or a limited number of hours — commonly known as flexible working. Over the past years, AIG Netherlands has successfully developed its own flexible workspace concepts, including Flex4Medics and Flex4Coaching.
The office spaces are suitable for training sessions, meetings, courses, and, of course, flexible working. At our locations, you can rent a room for anywhere from 1 to 100 people, for durations ranging from 1 hour to 1 day or even an entire month — all options are negotiable.
ADD Group
ADD Group is the umbrella organization behind the successful flexible workspace concepts ADD, Flex4Medics and Flex4Coaching. With more than 30 flexible work and meeting locations in the Netherlands and a serviced office concept, ADD Group helps (starting) entrepreneurs optimize their profits within their businesses. A team of experts focuses on costs, efficiency, and flexibility. The vision is to expand these concepts to Belgium, Germany, and France in the coming years.
ADD was born out of frustration, a feeling, and a passion. The frustration was due to the lack of providers offering a complete new way of working. Entrepreneurs wanting to work flexibly spent a lot of time searching for the right setup for efficient working. ADD also arose from a feeling — we believe in thinking differently and changing the status quo. Our passion is reflected in the full commitment we put into what we do and the success we achieve, which in turn makes our clients successful. For our clients, we are “The flexible foundation of success.” Since November 2008, we have been making the world a little better every day with this approach.
We embody “The flexible foundation of success” by innovating existing products and services and offering them thoughtfully, making them user-friendly for both large and small entrepreneurs. This allows us to bundle various services that normally have nothing to do with each other into a unique range of offerings that make entrepreneurs’ lives much easier. Florentijn van den Bos
My name is Florentijn van den Bos, and since 2008 I have been involved in renting flexible workspaces for various industries. It started in 2008 when I began helping small entrepreneurs find suitable spaces. From this assistance, the idea of ADD was born.
All the entrepreneurs I helped faced the same problems. They wanted to use facilities that were too expensive, which caused difficulties or made starting a business too costly. I strongly felt this could be done better and, above all, more affordably. The idea was to help entrepreneurs reduce their costs without compromising their professionalism. Flexibility was a key priority! This idea eventually became ADD. I wanted to add something valuable to companies — ADD Something To Your Company!
My efforts in the years following 2008 proved worthwhile, as demand for flexible workspaces increased across many industries, requiring far more locations than ADD could initially provide.
This quickly led to significant growth in the number of locations and rented rooms — and it left me wanting more! After thorough market research with my team, it became clear there was strong demand for flexible workspaces in the medical sector. Naturally, I wanted to respond quickly, and thus our label Flex4Medics was created. This label ensures that entrepreneurs in the (para)medical sector can use flexible workspaces throughout the country with peace of mind. After all, those providing good care should have as few worries as possible.
This proved to be a bullseye! Demand for rooms soon exceeded supply. Since 2022, we have set a clear target for the coming eight years. To achieve this, I decided to issue the first bonds in 2022 and rapidly expand the number of locations. Growing to 150 locations across the Netherlands!
The origin of ADD Group
Entrepreneurship isn’t always smooth sailing — I know this better than anyone. But I’ve also experienced how setbacks can turn into renewed energy and opportunities. Through this story, I want to share how ADD Group came to be. Before starting ADD Group, I spent 10 years working with numbers and advising in an investment firm. I was responsible for many employees, and 80-hour workweeks were common. I loved this time, during which my investment strategy was widely embraced by clients and financial institutions. My story and strategy literally and figuratively drew full rooms where I could explain my approach. I even acquired companies to grow further. This period gave me immense energy, though I also faced setbacks — trusting the wrong people at times. Yet it was also a wonderful period in my life where I met incredible people who taught me knowledge and skills that benefit me to this day.
The toll of overworking
Given the above, you might think it was fantastic — and it was! But suddenly, I was hit with a burnout. The 80-hour weeks took their toll. I sold my company during this period and needed two years to recover. This was a time for reflection on what really matters in life. During this recovery, I helped entrepreneurs start businesses or helped those in deep trouble. From this assistance, ADD was born. All the entrepreneurs I helped faced the same problem: the facilities they needed were too expensive, causing difficulties or making starting a business unaffordable. I strongly felt this could be done better and more affordably. Helping entrepreneurs reduce costs without sacrificing professionalism was key. Flexibility was a very important focus! This idea became ADD. I wanted to add something to companies — ADD Something To Your Company!
Flexibility and entrepreneurship
Wonderful ideas and valuable pillars, with flexibility and entrepreneurship at their core. This led me to start ADD (Group) in 2008. Over the past decade, ADD (Group) has grown into a company that genuinely helps entrepreneurs with both business and cost savings. Many companies struggle with operational side issues. I help businesses optimize, outsource, and automate their existing or new processes.
Full-service flexible services
ADD Group is a telecom provider in the Netherlands and Belgium, supplying phone numbers in over 60 countries. Over the past decades, a network of around 30 flexible work centers has developed. I also provide customer care through our call center, where calls are answered on behalf of companies, including sales calls, aftersales, and technical support. Simplicity is paramount to me, so I use advanced software to manage and digitize mail and document flows.
No employees, just an online strategy
You might think my company employs a large team. Not at all. ADD Group operates solely on an online strategy and me as an individual. None of my companies have employees. Everything is outsourced to specialists or companies focused on specific areas I need. This means I have assembled an (external) team of experts held accountable for units and goals we’ve agreed upon. By bundling many small pieces and clever combinations, we create one big whole — that’s the ADD Concept. Through smart automation, these small parts can be managed, resulting in an affordable, flexible, and excellent service.
Work where and when you want
The same applies to ADD (Group): I don’t have an office. I work where needed. For example, I wrote this life story in a small house on the edge of a forest. The company is so streamlined that I can work one week and spend the next inspiring and creating. Maybe this isn’t for everyone, but I recommend doing it a few times a year.
