FireFly Founded: The Start of a Revolutionary Software Development
Last week, a long-cherished wish finally came true. An IT company called FireFly has been added to my organization. It was a decision I had been pondering for a few years, but eventually, the facts caught up with me, making it easy to take this next step.
Launching FireFly felt like starting my first company. Long deliberation, searching for alternative solutions, considering outsourcing – but ultimately, the idea became too big to ignore. During my trip to Albania a month ago, I realized that this was the right time to take action.
After making the decision, many details still needed to be worked out. What will the organizational structure be like? Who will I collaborate with? Will it be a Dutch company, or should I listen to the gurus who recommend going to Dubai for software development? In the end, I decided to stay in the Netherlands and contribute to the gross national product. Although I certainly see international opportunities for FireFly, I believe our plans far surpass foreign competition.
Next Level Building Automation and Scheduling
FireFly is truly going to be next level in building automation and scheduling. We are going to rebuild everything with the help of freelance programmers under the guidance of one software architect to develop a solid software system. Much development will take place for the rest of the year on the successor of MyADD and other versions. The software will also get a new name; we will brainstorm on that.
But then the biggest pain point: the costs. This software and hardware will cost a fortune. We had to bring in an investor to realize this properly in a short time. What do you think? Within a few days of founding the company and announcing the plans, we had an investor who picked up everything. I had experienced rapid progress before, but this surpasses everything!
